While the death of fashion designer Kate Spade, 55, who took her own life this past week is still fresh in minds, the world is once again mourning the loss of another prominent figure.

Celebrity chef and television host Anthony Bourdain, most known for his recent food and American travel show Parts Unknown, was reportedly found dead in his hotel room in an apparent suicide.

The 61-year-old, who was filming in France, has spoken openly about his prior drug addiction, but still his death, much like the death of Kate Spade, comes as a complete shock to those around him.

His death has prompted other celebrities, including fellow celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver, to take to social media to vocalize their condolences as well as encourage those who are struggling with mental illness to not be afraid to get the help they need.

Bourdain, who had a great impact not only on the culinary world but also in his constant support and advocacy of the #MeToo movement, bringing awareness to sexual assault and harassment in Hollywood, will surely be missed.
